Brett Baboorian from North Chesterfield, Virginia has been playing piano since he was 5 years old. He took weekly lessons for classical piano with a private teacher until the age of 16, as well as attended Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology (ARGS) for his high school education with a focus in Classical Piano. He then received a Bachelor’s degree in Music performance from Shenandoah University in 2021, where he studied with the Renowned Irish Pianist and Teacher John O’ Conor. Aside from classical music, he has played in several Jazz Bands in both high school and College as well as received formal Jazz education. He has also been playing in a multitude of churches all around the state of Virginia since the age of 12. He has extensive experience in accompaniment and has played for countless recitals, musicals, and dance performances. He currently works as a dance accompanist for Richmond Ballet as well as the VCU Dance Department. Apart from traditional piano, he also has a deep love for all types of art, and has done extensive work in Musical Theater (including a leading role in the ARGS production of Pippin) as well as singing, guitar playing, and songwriting.
