Jessica (Lengyel) Allard earned her bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance with a dual concentration in ballet and jazz from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Jessica spent her professional career dancing with Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre of New Smyrna Beach, FL for eight years. She founded the IB Dance program at Pedro Menendez High School in St. Augustine, FL and directed the program for 9 years. Jessica earned her Masters Degree in educational leadership from Florida State University in 2018. Most recently she established the dance program at Beachside High School in St. Johns County, FL where she was the director of the program from 2022-2024. Jessica’s early training was at The Ann Hebard School of Ballet and The Dance Company of St. Augustine. She attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, FL, where she was a member of the esteemed Dance Theatre for three years and a recipient of the “Bravo” award for excellence in dance. She attended summer programs at the Orlando Ballet , the Joffrey Ballet , the Nashville Ballet and the Florida Dance Festival. Jessica has been privileged to work with choreographers such as Francesca Harper, Nicholas Petrov, Peter Merz, Ronen Koresh, Ann Sorvino and Alison Seidenstricker. She has had the opportunity to teach and choreograph in various parts of the US. Her choreography has been featured at the National and Regional High School Dance Festival. Jessica is very excited to join the MKSD Family this year!
