Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Kristin began dancing at the early age of two. As an adolescent, she enjoyed the athleticism and artistry that dance offered her. She trained at Jessica Morgan School of Dance in ballet, tap, jazz, and other styles through her elementary and middle school years. At the age of ten, Kristin began dancing with Richmond Ballet’s outreach program, Minds in Motion. The program offered her ample opportunities for performance, such as Richmond Ballet’s The Nutcracker, as well as performances all over the city of Richmond. Confirmed in her love for the art of dance, Kristin continued to train in ballet and contemporary at Marianne Kelley’s School of Dance, and joined the local theater group, Theatre on the James, to enhance her performance repertoire. After high school, she appeared in shows with Fifth Wall Theater and The Lynn Theater, while continuing to study ballet, and perform in Marianne Kelley’s School of Dance’s The Nutcracker. Today, Kristin dances with the modern dance group RADAR Dance Company. She also teaches technique and repertoire classes at Marianne Kelley’s School of Dance. Kristin is an award winning choreographer with a deep love for dance, and a strong desire to pass on what she has learned to her students in years to come.
